- Comfort first. You'll be fasting from sunrise to moonrise, so choose breathable fabrics like cotton, muslin or modal over heavy synthetics.
- Let the dupatta lead. With an embroidered or bandhani dupatta, keep earrings statement and skip the heavy necklace.
- Plan for the sargi. A simple cotton kurti for the early-morning sargi, then change into your festive set for the evening puja.
- Match the mehendi. Deep red and maroon make dark mehendi look even richer in photos.
